Catsci Case StudyCatsci is a scientific research company based just outside of the centre of Cardiff. With a fast-growing user base and high-spec technical equipment to maintain, Catsci relies on Clearwater IT to provide a first-class level of support for users and laboratory PCs.

IT support

With over 30 members of staff in roles ranging from research scientists to human resources, Catsci users benefit from helpdesk and on-site support from Clearwater engineers. Support tasks include software and hardware fixes, new laptop and PC builds and management of virtual Windows installs, designed to continue to support specialist software and legacy lab equipment.

Server maintenance

Clearwater also provides server maintenance services with both real-time monitoring and hybrid backup solutions protecting essential company systems and data.

Office 365 migration and adoption

Whilst working with Catsci, Clearwater IT has migrated email services to the Office 365 platform. Engineers set up the Office 365 tenancy, migrated user accounts and assisted user's with accessing the services. Clearwater is now working with the business to explore additional services such as Teams and SharePoint to further improve collaborative working amongst the various departments.
